Over the years his volunteerism has included grammar school and adult literacy tutoring. He has served the public schools near his home as a member of the Local School Counsel of two grammar schools and chairing several Parent Teacher Organization committees. Since 1994, he has been a volunteer attorney with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services providing legal representation to those who cannot otherwise afford legal services. He was a past recipient of the organization’s Distinguished Service Award.
Mr. Becker is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois and is admitted to practice before all state courts in Illinois , the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a member of the Illinois Bar, Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
